Back. After the most physically exhausting weekend in recent memory, and several weeks (plus) of mentally stressful work day and night, I finally took a break. Last night I sat down and watched the Invincible Iron Man (the animated movie, not the one in theaters). While watching I made my first foray into drawing straight with a Wacom tablet.
I've got to say, it was extremely relaxing, and for the first try I'm pretty happy with the results. Because my future self will want to know, a run down of the past 2 months will follow shortly.

In honor of the movie coming out in less then two months, here's a couple of sketches of the Invincible Iron Man. For anyone who knows me very well, you'll probably know I've been a big fan of Iron Man for a long time (since issue 281 to be exact), so it's no surprise that I am eagerly awaiting the movie's release. I got to see a few minutes, Tony testing his new suit for the first time, when I was at Wondercon. It's looking exactly like the movie I've been waiting for since the third grade.
Both sketches were done with a black color erase pencil, in a sketchbook given to me by my brother a couple of years ago. A little over an hour for both while watching New Amsterdam, a welcome replacement to never ending reality television.
Expect more Iron Man leading up to the movie premier. Eight weeks and counting.
